hand me down honeymoon part two: lighthouse

Monday, August 3, 2015

We were told that climbing the lighthouse was a must do item on the island. Boats are the only way to get there, so we took our boat over and checked it out.

Zack gave me this shirt for Christmas, and I finally got to wear it on our honeymoon.

Yes, we are married. We like our rings.

Amethyst is the birthstone for February, which I think may have something to do with why I'm into purple.

Christmas decorating: arranging greenery

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

My favorite Christmas decorations are plants.  Natural greens and reds are so beautiful to me, and the best part is that you can throw them in the compost or burn them in a bonfire after Christmas.  No storage space needed!

I only wish that I could arrange flowers as well as my mom and grandmothers, but I think I do a decent job with greenery.

Christmas decorating: tree and wreaths

Decorating certainly helps me prepare for Christmas, and I am enjoying this study that my small group is doing together during Advent.  Although my December calendar is filling up, I hope that I take time to remember the real meaning of Christmas.  I have a Savior who gave up his privileges as the son of God to live a sinless life I couldn't live and pay for my sin.  Praise God!

How do you prepare for Christmas?
